Why Personal Growth Coaching Actually Works (Even When You've Tried Everything)
Let’s be honest, life moves fast. Between responsibilities, distractions, and everyone else's expectations, it’s easy to put your own goals on the back burner. You know you want more, more clarity, more peace, more purpose, but actually getting there? That’s where most people get stuck. That’s where personal growth coaching comes in.
It’s not about “fixing” you. It’s about working with someone who sees your potential clearly, even on the days you don’t. Someone who helps you tune back in to yourself, figure out what really matters, and map out a path forward that feels right (not just looks good on paper).
And if you’re working with someone like me, we go deeper. We don’t just talk about goals and routines, we explore your emotional patterns, your self-talk, and how you might be unknowingly projecting your inner struggles onto the outside world. (Yes, it happens to all of us.)
Here’s what shifts when you work with the right coach:
You finally get clear on what you truly want, not what you should want.
You stay accountable, without guilt or shame, but with real structure.
You feel seen, not judged.
You get strategies that actually match your energy, personality, and life.
And here’s the part no one talks about "You don’t have to do it alone." Growth isn’t about hustling harder, it’s about becoming more you.
So if you’re feeling like there’s something more for you but you’re not sure how to get there, coaching might be the space you didn’t know you needed.
I’ll help you cut through the noise, come back to yourself, and take the next step, on your terms.

What the Coaching Process Actually Looks Like
If you’ve never worked with a coach before, it might feel a little unclear, or even intimidating. But I promise, it’s not about having it all figured out. It’s about showing up just as you are, and letting the process meet you there.
Here’s how it usually flows:
We start with a real conversation. No pressure, no judgment, just a space to talk about where you’re at, what’s been on your heart, and what you’re hoping to shift.
Then we explore what’s working (and what’s not). This includes your strengths, blind spots, patterns, and anything else that’s showing up in your life.
Together, we set some clear, meaningful goals. Not generic ones, goals that actually resonate and feel doable.
You get a plan that fits you. Step-by-step, with support and flexibility built in.
And we stay connected. With regular check-ins, honest conversations, and space for whatever needs to unfold.
It’s structured, but not rigid. Focused, but never forceful. The goal? To support you in moving forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust, without burning out or abandoning yourself in the process.

What Is Self-Projection (Really)?
Self-projection isn’t just about visualizing your dream life or imagining a “better” version of yourself. That’s a surface-level take. In my work, and in my book "How to Own Your Sh!t," I explain self-projection as something deeper, more honest, and way more impactful.
Self-projection is the process of unconsciously placing your inner emotional world, your fears, insecurities, beliefs, even unhealed wounds, onto the people and situations around you. It’s how we end up reacting to things not as they are, but as they feel to us based on past experiences.
But here’s the good news, once you become aware of your projections, you can start to reclaim your power!
In coaching, we use self-projection not to shame ourselves, but to decode what your reactions are actually telling you about you. That “annoying” coworker might be mirroring your own self-doubt. That fear of rejection? It might be rooted in a younger part of you that didn’t feel chosen.
When we bring those projections into the light with curiosity instead of judgment, something amazing happens:
You gain clarity on what’s yours to heal.
You stop outsourcing your worth to other people’s opinions.
You become emotionally safer, for yourself and for others.
You stop living from your wounding and start living from awareness.
Yes, we might still visualize the version of you that feels more confident, calm, or in control, but we don’t skip the real work that makes it possible.
That’s what makes this kind of coaching different. It’s not about chasing an ideal. It’s about seeing yourself fully, owning what’s yours, releasing what isn’t, and growing from that place.

How I Help Clients Work Through Self-Projection
(It’s Not What You Think)
Let’s clear something up: self-projection coaching isn’t about vision boards, manifesting techniques, or repeating affirmations until something magically shifts. That’s not how I work, and if you’ve tried that route and still feel stuck, you’re not alone.
The real work begins when we start exploring why you're reacting the way you are. That judgment, that trigger, that anxiety, it’s not random. It's often a reflection of something deeper, something unresolved.
In my coaching (and in my book How to Own Your Sh!t - Mastering self-projection), self-projection is the lens we use to understand how your internal world gets unconsciously projected onto people, situations, or even goals. It’s how you end up reacting not to what’s happening, but to what it feels like based on your past.
Step-by-Step, Here's What We Do Together:
1. Decoding Your Triggers
We don’t ignore the tension, we get curious about it. What’s underneath your reactions? Is it rejection? Abandonment? The fear of being misunderstood or controlled? Your emotional responses are never wrong, they’re messengers. We slow down and listen.
2. Naming the Type of Projection
We explore which of the four projection types are showing up for you:
Emotional Self-Projection – mistaking feelings for truth
Presumption Self-Projection – assuming others' thoughts or motives
Knowledge Self-Projection – expecting others to know what you know
Absolved Self-Projection – avoiding ownership by making it about them
Understanding the projection type helps you reclaim power without slipping into shame.
3. Shadow Work with Real-World Application
We don’t “love and light” our way out of discomfort. We face the parts of you that feel hard to love, the people-pleaser, the controller, the avoider, the one who never feels enough. These aren’t flaws; they’re protectors. We bring them out of hiding and into healing, so they stop running your relationships and choices behind the scenes.
4. Time Travel Reparenting™
You don’t just have emotions, you have emotional timelines. Through gentle guided processes, I help you revisit the younger version of you who still carries pain, fear, or survival strategies. We meet her (or him) with radical validation, acknowledging the pain without minimizing it. From there, we reparent those younger parts and update the subconscious beliefs that were formed in those moments.
This is not about digging for trauma, it’s about unfreezing the emotional timeline so you can operate from the present, not your past.
5. Subconscious Reprogramming
Through techniques rooted in hypnotherapy and nervous system awareness, we begin to shift the beliefs living under the surface. Not with toxic positivity, but with aligned, felt-truths like:
“I am safe to take up space.”
“I can say no without guilt.”
“I don’t need to over-explain to be worthy.”
These become part of how you think, respond, and move through the world, not just nice ideas, but actual inner programming.
6. Creating Agreements, Not Just Boundaries
Instead of framing everything around what you won’t tolerate, we define what you do need, and invite others to meet you there. These are called agreements: clear, self-respecting, and rooted in truth. They’re not walls, they’re conscious choices.
So What Actually Happens?
You stop living on autopilot and you stop leaking energy trying to control things outside yourself. You stop feeling like everything is personal or about you.
You begin responding with clarity, instead of reacting from old wounds. You soften, but you also strengthen and you stop chasing peace, and become the one who creates it.
That’s what happens when you truly own your projections and rewire your emotional world from the inside out.
It’s not light work. But it’s real. And it lasts.
